InfraPsych was developed to enable those who may be suffering from a mental illness (and their carers) to participate in the process of understanding their mental health needs, and to manage and monitor their progress through evaluation, treatment and follow-up.
Ultimately, it is InfraPsych's aim to become an integral part of the current mental health care infrastructure and to make a significant contribution to its operation and quality of service.
InfraPsych is a complete psychiatric service providing patients, and those who care for them, with the tools required for quality care. InfraPsych is also a unique Internet service that integrates the delivery of psychiatric care for mental health professionals.
InfraPsych is not a substitute for professional consultation. It aims to help both the providers of care and those seeking it. The questionnaire and monitoring components of the site do not substitute for medical diagnoses nor do they provide direct treatment, however, they do try to provide information to assist in the process of, and support in, treatment.
